Follow-up project granted!

„Validity of several non-invasive hip joint center estimation methods for clinical gait analysis in a population of overweight and obese children and adolescents”

A follow-up project to our Children’s Knees project, which we have submitted to the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) in 2017, was accepted. This is awesome news! The project is entitled:

The primary aim is to evaluate the accuracy of current non-invasive HJC estimation methods for clinical 3D gait analysis to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in a population of overweight or obese children and adolescents. The project will start in autumn this year. An international team of researchers from different Universities such as the Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences of Krems, the Medical University of Vienna, the Orthopedic Hospital Vienna-Speising and the KU Leuven (Department of Kinesiology) will collaborate with the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in this project.

You can find some details to the project directly at the FWF website (here). During the next months we will set up the project’s website, so stay tuned for more.
